Would you love the chance to perform at the Royal Albert Hall and other London venues, as well as in national music festivals such as Music for Youth in Birmingham?

This could be your chance. It’s the time of year when Camden Music are on the lookout for the best local secondary school aged musicians to join their most senior and advanced groups.

On Sunday 6 July, Camden Concert Band, which performs music from films and shows, and light classical music, and Camden Youth Jazz Band are inviting players to join them for these short, free rehearsals at Camden School for Girls, Sandall Road, NW5:

  • Camden Concert Band, from 12noon to 1pm on Sunday 6 July
  • Camden Youth Jazz Band, from 3pm to 4pm on Sunday 6 July.

Players are welcome to attend both taster rehearsals, if you meet these requirements:

  • Players of brass, woodwind, jazz piano, electric and bass guitars, double bass, percussion and drumkit
  • At least Grade 4 in standard
  • Having a weekly instrument lesson with a teacher
  • Able to read notated music
  • Able to improvise (for Jazz Band only).

If you (or your child) meets these requirements, then please register by filling in this online form by Tuesday 24 June.
