The app relaunch at Camden Council's offices at 5 Pancras Square was attended by Councillor Marcus Boyland, Cabinet Member for Best Start for Children and Families, who spoke about how Camden’s Full Council last year gave people who have experience of being in care living in the borough ‘protected characteristic’ status.
The 13 May relaunch of Pocket PA was attended by professionals from a wide range of Council services and care experienced young people. They included former Camden care experienced interns Rose and Hassan, who have both recently moved to new full-time, paid roles in the Council. Hassan spoke about his work to support the relaunch of the app. The Pocket PA app project involved colleagues across Camden Council and developers from from focusgov, who gave an introduction to the app at the event.
The event also saw the launch of Camden Council's Corporate Parenting Strategy 2025-2028, which includes five promises to care experienced young people.
