Got something to say about the future of young people in Camden? Want to share your hopes for the future in a creative way? This is your chance!

We run our annual Youth Safety Multi-Media Competition to get young people thinking, creating and speaking up about the issues that matter to them. The competition is run by Camden Council's Integrated Youth Support Service as part of Youth Celebration Fortnight, from 27 October to 7 November 2025.

You can apply for up to £500 to help bring your project to life. This can go towards things like:

  • Paying a facilitator
  • Production costs
  • Equipment.

Just fill out a short Expression of Interest Form and email it to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 12 September 2025. We will let you know the following week if you are successful.

If you don't need funding, you can still enter your project up until 17 October 2025.

Who can enter?

  • Anyone aged 10 to 18 who lives or goes to a school or youth club in Camden
  • You will need to enter through your school, youth or community group, or play centre
  • You can enter solo or as a group.

What do you need to do?

Create a project around the theme: Camden in 5 Years: A Future Shaped by Young Voices. You can also explore a specific issue that matters to you – such as youth exploitation, knife crime, mental health and wellbeing, or the safety of young women and girls.

Your entry could be:

  • A poem, short story, or play - written or performed, maximum 3,000 words
  • A short film - animation, drama, or documentary, no more than 15 minutes long
  • A video game, up to 15 minutes long
  • Artwork - painting, poster, photo, collage or 3D artwork (please send us a photo or video of it)
  • A song, rap, or spoken word piece -  audio or video, up to 15 minutes long.

Important

  • Use your own music or copyright-free tracks
  • Keep it suitable for under-16s—no graphic violence or strong language.
  • Send your entry to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 17 October 2025
  • If your files are over 15MB, use WeTransfer or Google Drive.

Prizes

  • Winner: £500 for your school or youth group, plus vouchers for everyone involved
  • Runners-up: £150 each for your group, plus vouchers for participants.

Winning entries will be showcased during Youth Celebration Fortnight from 27 October to 7 November 2025.
