Free and low-cost May half-term holiday activities for children and young people

It's half-term from 27 to 31 May - find free and low-cost sports, arts, play and youth activities near you.

  • Active Wednesday is free and for ages 11 to 17. Activities include trampolining, cricket, tennis, table tennis, football, basketball and much more. It's taking place at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, NW5 3AF, on Wednesday 29 May, from 4pm to 6pm. To book a place or for more information, please email shaun.taylor@camden.gov.uk

  • Arsenal in the Community free football programme is open to both girls and boys aged 8 to 14. The sessions focus on fun and enjoyable exercises and skills, rather than serious competitive tournaments. Come along, and bring a friend, to Cantelowes Gardens, Camden Road, NW5 2AU on 29, 30 and 31 May, from 1pm to 4pm each day. Complete the online registration form to book your place or, for more details, email postivekicks@arsenal.co.uk

  • Kids Swim for a Quid. Enjoy access to swimming for £1 every day during the school holidays before 10am at Camden Better Leisure Centres. This offer is for all children under 16 and also applies during the school term-time, every Saturday and Sunday before 10am. For more information on membership and how to get started, visit the Better website

  • Rowley Way Football Mini-Cup. Enjoy your school holidays with free, fun games and multi-sports for young people aged 10 to 16.   • Kilburn Grange Park Multi-Sport Session. Enjoy the school holidays with your friends outside at Kilburn Grange Park multi-use games area, NW6 2JL, on Friday 31 May, 12noon to 4pm. It's free and open to young people aged 10 to 16

  • Mini-Gymnastics Holiday Camp. For ages 4 to 7, helps develop children’s basic agility, balance and co-ordination within a fun, enjoyable and safe environment. It runs at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, NW5 3AF from 28 to 31 May, 11am to 12.30pm.   • Multi-Sports Holiday Scheme. For ages 8 to 12, offering a range of fun and exciting sport and physical activities at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, NW5 3AF from 28 to 31 May, 9am to 3.30pm. Find out more on the Council website or email sportsdevelopment@camden.gov.uk

  • May half-term youth programmes. Take part in free sports, cookery, creative activities, fitness and wellbeing, cinema and bowling trips at your local youth centre. Visit the youth clubs and activities page of Camden Rise
