February half-term activities for children and young people

Find free and low-cost February 2024 half-term sport, youth, play, creative arts and cultural activities in Camden.

  • Girls Get Moving Monday - 12 February, 4pm to 6pm at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, NW5 3AF.   • Active Wednesday - 14 February, 4pm to 6pm at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, NW5 3AF. Free mixed session for ages 11 to 17. To book a place, or for more information, please email shaun.taylor@camden.gov.uk. You can also watch a short film (50 seconds) about Active Wednesday

  • School's Out - Better Leisure February Half-Term Activity Guide. Activities range from swimming for all the family, learn to swim short courses and junior gym at leisure centres across Camden. The half-term programme runs from 12 to 16 February

  • The Pirate Castle. Have fun, get active and make a splash on the Regent's Canal with The Pirate Castle's half-term holiday scheme, which runs from 12 to 17 February, 10am to 3.30pm each day. There's a range of paddlesport and canal boating activities on offer that develop physical, technical and social skills, boost self-confidence and are a great way to let off steam! Suitable for ages 8 and above. Each day includes two activity sessions with a short lunch break (packed lunch / refreshments required). Find out more and book your places
  • Half-term youth programmes. Activities include multi-sports and fitness, cooking, music workshops, arts and crafts at Lauderdale House, games, beauty and trips, including ice skating. Find out what is happening over February half-term at your local youth clubs and projects
  • Play schemes for ages 4 to 12. The play provision in Camden is run by community and voluntary organisations. They are funded by the Council to provide after-school clubs and holiday playschemes for children aged 4 to 12. This provision includes specialist services for vulnerable children, young people and their families with varying needs. Find out more and book a place
  • Light Up Kilburn. This spectacular free light festival runs from Friday 9 February until Saturday 24 February. Featuring inspiring illuminations forming a trail and a magical spectacular parade, the festival will bring light, colour, sound and creativity to Kilburn High Road, Kilburn Grange Park and the surrounding areas. There will also be fun activities and events for everyone to enjoy. Come together with family and friends to experience the beauty of Kilburn. There will be special events every Friday to Sunday, 5pm to 9pm and a closing parade and entertainment on Saturday 24 February. There are also special workshops including a giant puppetry workshop on Friday 16 February and a lantern making workshop on 19 February open for everyone.
