Opportunity Centres are for curious-minded students in Camden. They provide after-school and holiday learning opportunities through activities that students can’t access in school. All activities are for secondary students in Camden and are free to attend.

The Finance Flex with Money Circuit. Free for Camden secondary school students in Years 9 to 13. Learn how to budget, save and make smart money moves for your future. We’ll break down real life money skills, talk investing and share tips you can use straight away - no boring lectures, just practical info to help your money work for you. Side Hustle School with One Tech. Free for Camden secondary school students in Years 9 to 13. The workshop includes:

  • Learn what it means to think like an entrepreneur—creativity, resilience, and problem-solving
  • Discover how to identify opportunities, develop a business idea, and understand key concepts like value proposition and customer needs
  • Explore how to start small, test ideas, and grow a venture with limited resources.

Design and make your own clothes with Kin and Cloth. Free for Camden secondary school students in Years 7 to 10. Get creative and express your style. Design and make your own personalised T-shirt from scratch. Learn real design and making skills, experiment with colours and ideas, and bring your vision to life. Music and More with Theme Music Studios. Free for Camden secondary school students in Years 9 to 13. Step inside a real music studio and see how tracks are made from start to finish. On this studio tour and music making course, you’ll explore professional equipment, learn how artists and producers create their sound, and make your own music. Experiment with beats, melodies and vocals, learn the basics of music production and bring your ideas to life in a creative studio space. Whether you’re into rap, R&B, EDM or just curious about music, this is your chance to try something new and build new skills. Sign-up here

Six-week course: Thursdays, 4 June to 9 July - register your interest here Make music with Sound Trap. Six-week course - free for Camden students in Years 9 to 13. Over six weeks you’ll learn how to make your own music using Soundtrap. You’ll make beats, try loops, record your own ideas, and build a short original EDM style track. You’ll have your own login so you can keep working in between sessions. An absolute must for any young person interested in learning how to make music.
