About the library

West Hampstead Library will be closed on Thursday 2 May, as it will be used as a polling station for Mayoral Election. It will reopen at the usual time of 11am, on Friday 3 May. We apologise for any inconvenience.

West Hampstead Library is open for customers to browse and choose their own books, and to use our public computers and study spaces

You don’t need to book a computer in advance, PCs are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Access is limited to four hours per day.  You can also scan, print and photocopy documents. View the Acceptable Use of Public Computers policy (PDF) and our Acceptable use of Wifi policy (PDF)

You can return any outstanding books, DVDs or CDs on loan within our opening hours.

We also offer a range of activities for our library users, see: What's on this month.

The library has a number of measures in place to keep customers and staff safe.
