Exam success for Class of 2021, despite COVID-19 disruption - Camden Rise

Camden's A-level and GCSE students achieved impressive results despite having their studies severely disrupted by the pandemic over the last 18 months.

The percentage of Camden students achieving a ‘standard pass’ in English and maths GCSEs (grade 4 and above in both) was 75% this year, up on last year's figure (73%) and well above the national average in 2019, which was 65%.

Meanwhile, the percentage of Camden students achieving a ‘strong pass’ in English and maths GCSEs (grade 5 and above in both) was 55% this year, slightly up on last year’s 54% and well above the national average in 2019, which was 43%. Read the full story, including photos and student stories here

Students in Camden schools celebrated receiving their A-level results on 10 August, with grades up on the previous year and the numbers of A* to B and A* to C passes in line with the headline national average.
 
The average points score per entry was 40.1 this year in Camden, higher than last year’s borough-wide figure of 38.8, while 90 per cent of Camden students achieved at least three or more A* to E grades at A-level. Read the full story, including photos and student stories here
