Online youth and play activities during COVID-19

While Camden youth and play centre buildings are closed to children and young people, these projects are finding new ways to help keep local children and young people connected to their centre or project and each other.

Camden Council youth projects - virtual youth programmes, June 2020:

Camden Summer University is back too - with an exciting range of free online and socially distanced courses running over the school summer holiday. Find out more here

Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA) has been organising youth media programmes, including film-making, online peer support and lots more.

The London Youth Games has launched the LYG Virtual Games. The LYG Virtual Games takes place over four-weeks, giving children and young people the chance to represent their boroughs in a series of sport-related challenges that can be done at home, at school or while out for daily exercise.

The Hive Camden has launched an online social hub for older young people who are aged 16 to 24. You can also follow The Hive Camden on Instagram.

ARC Youth Club is offering free online activities for young people aged 9 to 19 during lockdown. Follow them on Instagram to find out more here.

The MOSAIC centre for LGBTQ young people is offering online coaching sessions, live yoga, online youth club, mindfulness, online social and creative spaces.

Camden Youth Council are on both Instagram and Twitter - follow them for updates, including details of forthcoming 'Virtual Shout Outs' and the rescheduled Camden Youth MP Election in September.

KCBNA Youth Project has just announced a young people's poetry competition. Simply write a poem - it could be anything, just give it a go - and send it to them via DM or tag them on your posts if want to upload it yourself. Winners will be announced on 1 June and prizes will be given.

Coram's Fields Youth Project also has a timetable of online social, fitness and wellbeing activities for young people on its Instagram page.

And NW5 Community Play Project has been running a series of fun online challenges and competitions, including: 'How many pairs of socks can you put on your hands in 60 seconds?'
